Local Outreach

Our prevailing purpose is to train up disciples who go forth in their neighborhoods and communities sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, demonstrating the Word with signs following. A passionate desire to win souls for the Kingdom has been the foundation for the development of over 50 in-house and outreach ministries.

If you have a talent, we have just the place for you to enlarge your faith and put it to good use! Here at OBMCC, we desire to reach out to every area of our local community with the Word, the peace, and the power of God. Here are a few ways in which we do that…

BLITZES
Blitz is a combination of ministries that go out together to meet the needs in a community. We want to destroy the work of the enemy in the lives of people in our neighborhoods. How do we do it? With lots and lots of love! We go into surrounding communities with the love of Jesus and minister to their spiritual, physical and emotional needs. People who attend go home with bags of clothing, toys for their kids, full bellies, and a big dose of the Gospel.

If outreach ministry is in your heart, come join us for a great day of reaching others in Christ. Currently, we do 3 - 4 blitz outreaches per year (during warmer months). Whether at an apartment complex or on a town square, it's a full day of preaching the gospel, feeding the hungry, distributing clothing and toys, praise and worship, clowns and puppets, health screening (and of course, loading up and tearing down the equipment!).

Health Screening
Only Believe Ministries Christian Center, in cooperation with the Ohio Health Ministry Department, conducts health screening as part of our outreach ministries. When we visit a community in the area with food, clothing, prayer and teaching, we will also do blood pressure analysis and women's cancer awareness screening.

The Ohio Health Ministry provides us with resource referrals to connect people with health care providers. The health care is provided at no cost for those qualifying. All screeners are trained and qualified to do the Blood Pressure Analysis and cancer questionnaires.

Clothing Bus
The OBMCC Clothing Bus is a converted school bus filled with good quality, clean clothes which are donated by our congregation (basically, if the item is not in a condition that you would wear it, we don't want it to give to others!). We bring it along on Blitzes and send it out as a general outreach to the inner city areas. The needy not only receive clothing, but new shoes and diapers are also available.

Clowns for Christ
Clowns for Christ is a group of adults who witness and win souls into the Kingdom through clowning. They go to parades, picnics and into nursing homes. It's a great way to share Christ because there is no intimidation. People love clowns and children are ministered to in a profound way. Clown training and make-up instructions are available for those interested in becoming part of this ministry.
